Humphrey alums featured in Judd Fellowship newsletter

Alejandra De Freitas (MDP '13) recently became a project management associate within the Latin America and Caribbean region at Chemonics International. She was formerly a project officer at the Organization of American States. Chemonics International is an employee-owned company that partners with local and international organizations to promote social and economic change worldwide.

Claire Stoscheck (MPP '15) was the featured speaker at the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture's "What's Up in Sustainable Agriculture" seminar on Feb. 19. She spoke about her Judd Fellowship project, "Navdanya's Food Sovereignty Work in India."

JB Scherpelz (MDP '12) is the Minnesota International Center's new corporate relations officer. JB brings to MIC professional experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors, and is focused on building bridges between the two.

Jasna Burza (MPP '05) was recently featured on WCCO-TV's "Minnesotans To Meet." During her Judd Fellowship she participated in the 2005 Duke HEI Program on Global Policy and Governance and an internship program in Geneva, and interned with the International Committee of the Red Cross. Jasna has brought that experience back to Minnesota. She said her "goal isn't to change the world, but rather to help people see the changes inside."

Caroline Krafft (MPP '10) spoke at the Human Capital Research Collaborative on the "Impact of a Community Development & Poverty Reduction Program on Early Childhood Development in Morocco" on December 15. Caroline is an assistant professor of economics at St. Catherine University. Her research focuses on human development in the Middle East and North Africa. She received both her Ph.D. in applied economics from and her master's degree in public policy from the University of Minnesota.
