Vilendrer publishes first novel

Nikki Vilendrer (MPP ’11) recently published her first novel, Power Play. The fictional tale is a little public policy meets hockey meets love story, and is primarily set in the Minnesota Capitol.

When not writing her next novel, Nikki works as a senior government relations specialist for Mayo Clinic.

Wolfish joins Legislative Strategies, Inc.

Jonathan Wolfish (MPP '14) joined Legislative Strategies, Inc./LSI Associates in Washington, D.C. as a research assistant focused on domestic and international policy. Some of the important issues he tracks include education and workforce development issues in the ASEAN member countries, U.S.-Hong Kong relations, and domestic legislation relating to recreational access to national parks and public lands.

Nicholas Petersen (MPP ‘10) is now working in agency performance measurement as well as evaluation and improvement at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. He will be developing and leading an internal consulting practice around performance measurement, evaluation, and data driven decision making within the department.

Williams joins Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development

Quinntavious Williams (MPP ‘15) is now a policy specialist for the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. He will be aiding the division director in the system wide implementation of the national Workforce Act, creating workforce development brochures, organizing community partners, and networking with directors to stimulate more collaboration.
