The executive order signed by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton directs state agencies to hire more disabled people to counteract the drastic decline seen recently. By the year 2018, the goal is to increase the employment of disabled people from the 3.2 percent in 2013 to 7 percent. There is a series of reforms in addition to the increased percentage within the executive order created to help those with disabilities have an easier time finding state jobs.
