Glass monitoring humanitarian relief efforts at USAID/OFDA

Kaela Glass.jpgKaela Glass (MPP/MSW '12) joined the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) as an information officer in June of 2013. Her graduate program had a focus on humanitarian assistance and global public policy.

USAID/OFDA provides humanitarian assistance for the U.S. government in response to natural disasters and complex emergencies. As part of a regional team based in Washington, D.C., or serving on disaster response teams in Washington or overseas, Kaela monitors and reports on humanitarian conditions and response activities. Most recently, she was deployed to Manila and Tacloban with the USAID/OFDA Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) to respond to Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan in the Philippines.
