Olson conducting research in Mozambique

Erin Olson (MPH/MURP '15) is conducting public space research in Maputo, Mozambique. her work includes:

Analyzing the uses and meanings of public spaces in Maputo, Mozambique, including in-depth historical and anthropological analysis of two park spaces in the urban center; theory of the cultural consciousness connected to the built environment; the opportunities and challenges around transit and public spaces in Maputo, Mozambique.

Previously, Erin held many graduate teaching and research assistantships during her time at the Humphrey School and the U of M, most recently at the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA).
