Hamma joins MNDOT

Peter Hamma (MPP ‘12) is now the state program administrator for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. He will be the subject matter expert in business process workflow, electronic signatures, and mobile devices. He will also be training staff on the business context for life-cycle document management practices.

Rabban joins MNDOT

Shaker Rabban (MURP ‘11) is now a senior transportation planner for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. He was previously a program manager for the National Community Stabilization Trust.

Driscoll joins CIL

Katie (Meyer) Driscoll (MPP ’11) has joined the Center for Integrative Leadership as assistant program manager. Katie brings to CIL experience working as a project manager, school outreach ambassador, and community organizer for Grassroots Solutions, and serving as a community board and public policy committee member for the Southdale YMCA and the YWCA of Minneapolis, respectively. She earned a BA from the University of Minnesota and an MPP with a concentration in public and nonprofit leadership and management from the Humphrey School. Katie also played for the Gophers women’s varsity softball team and on the Big Ten All-Academic Team.

Boulay joins Dominium

Willy Boulay (MPP '14) is now a Development Staff Associate with Dominium, a commercial real estate developer headquartered in Plymouth, MN. Dominium is best known for its work at the Schmidt Brewery in St. Paul as well as the work currently underway at the Pillsbury A Mill in Minneapolis. Previously, Willy was an Associate Planner with engineering and planning consulting firm Olsson Associates.

Sjogren opens her own business

Merrie Sjogren (MURP ‘03) opened her business, Sjogren Group, in January 2015. The Sjogren Group is a collaborative real estate consulting company that provides the tools and information necessary for owners, tenants, neighborhoods, and partners to make informed decisions.

Mitchell joins North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources

Laurie Mitchell (MURP ‘12) is now the preservation planner for the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources. Previously she was the government relations and policy coordinator for the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
